Kanye: 'If There's an Ad for a Strip Club, That's Sex Trafficking'

Bipolar or not, I can't feel sympathy for this man. He's a public figure with a huge following (still, somehow) and the utter bullѕhit that comes out of his mouth can influence some easily impressionable fans in a potentially awful way. Not to mention his garbage attitude which is not something that's new, it's just been very  overlooked in the past :madge:

Kanye lost all remaining respect from me, once he started pandering to Trump and the MAGA crowd. I can't believe I was ever a fan of this dopey clown.

Ah yes, women with autonomy over their own bodies and the capital they generate are the victims. I didn't realize Kanye was a SWERF! Time to join your local radfem league Kanye!

Mmm we love shaming voluntary sex work just because you don’t morally agree with it. The delusional alt-right in Ye is leaping out :madge:

Kris Jenner is going to have a field day the day this man finally snaps and then some.

And that’s really truly sad. Get him help.

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

Someone stop him!!!!

Why can't he just focus on making good music, instead of this nonsense. It's getting to a point where I'm almost embarrassed to call myself a fan of him:crossed:

Mental problems or not, what he's saying is right. Treating women like disposable sex objects, particularly when you're married with children, is very problematic in multiple ways. It's not the way to go to true happiness, whether you're the dancer or the patron. And you don't have to be religious to believe that either.

Lots of these women aren't under true control of their bodies. It's not like they decide who they can dance for or how much clothes they take off or how much money they earn from it. It's dictated by their bosses, who take a cut of these wages, usually up to 50%. I watched a documentary about strippers in the UK who gave topless lapdances for £10 a time, only £5 of which they got to keep (they could earn up to £7 the longer they stayed). And there was one where they literally took it all off and only earned £5. Even on the busiest night of the year, when a girl completed a record-breaking 56 dances, that only earned her £280. If she'd been allowed to keep all the money, she would've taken home £560, which is still nothing on what some American strippers can earn in a single night. Most of them were very unhappy in their job or at the very least, trying to shut it all out, this was just a way to make some fast money, not one of them talked about how empowering it was or how they did it for a feminist statement. It's a myth that strippers earn thousands every night and want to do this and enjoy it. Some are even trafficked into it and are having sex with patrons in private booths, passing on the money to their pimps. You don't have to apply the label of SWERF to a feminist who doesn't agree with sex work. It's not about being radical or about hating women, it's about having compassion for women by wanting to keep them safe and free of exploitation and also about protecting the women who men cheat on for a quick thrill with a stranger. I notice how so many sex work supporters never seem to give the families of these men any thought. How is it feminism when there's women suffering because of what a wayward man's getting up to behind their backs?
