Such a tough choice but had to go with Joanne as much as ARTPOP changed me as a person and was a life moment for me I relate much more to Joanne

I love ARTPOP, but I voted for Joanne because that album very special to me. ARTPOP, sweetie, I still remember you, don't worry.

My ranking:

1. The Fame Monster

2. Joanne

3. Born This Way

4. ARTPOP

5. The rest (TF, ASIB, C2C)

ARTPOP doesn’t have Diamond Heart, Perfect Illusion, or Million Reasons. It has Jewels n Drugs and no Grammys.

You’re going to get a whole bunch of biased answers. For me, I liked ARTPOP way more. Even if it could be better, I still find it fun to listen to, and that’s what I look for in albums because I’m a dance music kind of guy. I also enjoyed Joanne a lot when I first listened to it. However, now I find Joanne to be a lot more prosaic and pedestrian than ARTPOP was. While neither of them had distinct concepts (which is fine, btw), ARTPOP’s production was more varied and interesting and it’s lyrical themes were way more thought provoking to my ears. Joanne didn’t demand any additional thought from me at all.

Joanne now represents what I feel like Gaga‘s music has become—pedestrian and prosaic. A Star Is Born has the exact same qualities: Pedestrian and prosaic. I guess that’s what happens when you try to appeal to the general public.
