Either way, they are still lame names. Initials are generally used by artists when they haven't figured out their overall concept yet. It screams 'unfinished'. His last few singles have all flopped and now he wants to finally release this long-awaited album that he's been putting off since 2017? And ultimate cringe at putting literally every song he's released since 2017 on it, even the Zedd collab which wasn't even his song. It's now that I've realised that all but one of songs (Bedroom Floor) didn't involve a feature. Says a lot that even when you have big names like Quavo, Zedd and J Balvin helping you, you still can't get a massive hit. I did like Strip That Down and Familiar and his new track, Stack That Up, isn't bad but wow, he sounds exactly like Ed Sheeran on it...and I've just looked it up to find that's because Ed co-wrote it, along with Strip That Down. Damn. This boy is so in over his head and has no originality. The only single he's had any writing credits on so far is one with 14 co-writers. Admittedly, his naming it LP1 is quite cool in retrospect as I totally forgot that was his initials, but it also refers to the old-fashioned word for an album into the bargain, so not bad naming. But, yeah, it hits you between the eyes as an FKA Twigs rip-off... But then I just remembered... 1 hour ago, Sneaky said: FKA Twigs did it first, though. Until I remembered that Joss Stone did it before FKA Twigs, with her 2011 album: ...and then I just thought I'd search the term "LP1" on Wikipedia to see if there were any more and lo and behold, a French band called Plastiscines made this in 2007: That's the thing with music, you sometimes think you've done something original and then find someone, no matter how obscure, has done it before you.
