Those Afro dancehall beats are EVERYTHING. If she could bring that with some of the modern rnb/hip hop/pop sounds like she has on her last two efforts I would be shook. I love that for a pop star of her caliber and fame, she’s really not playing it super safe and tries out new sounds. Her old stuff, to me, was fine if tending to be a bit boring sometimes. 4 was great, self titled was great, lemonade was great, EIS was great, and the gift was great.
