Royalties will be split to the the same songwriters for each, irrelevant to which version it is, songwriters get their royalties either way.  If the masters are under different labels (? are they even i cba to look) then it just means they have control over who can use them example, Gaga pitched telephone to Britney, im not sure who and what was which label but the recorded version of telephone with britney singing would be the master that's owned by britneys label (even if they didn't end up releasing it) and even if they did, Gaga would still get the songwritter royalties but would have no control in how the song is used  Actual patient Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
