MTV to remove Michael Jackson’s name from this year Vanguard Award

MTV used to ban Michael literally because hes black. Now they ban him based on false accusations with no proof. We have proof though on R Kelly and many other artists, are they banned? Elvis and Steven tyler were pedophile with proof yet they are not banned.

MTV can rot and choke for all I care. He gave them so much, and opened the doors for so many black artists videos to be played. It would be disgraceful for them to remove the name on the back of that sham of a "documentary" aired earlier this year.

I thought it was just called the Vanguard Award anyway  I just thought that it was made in honour of Michael Jackson and that he was the first recipient, not that the actual award had his name in it

Let's not go there. We simply don't know. That also goes for the members who assume he's guilty btw.

Point is: his name is a controversial, touchy subject now that might trigger a lot of undesirable emotions and discussions concerning this event. I do believe it's wisest to remove his name until there's more clarity about this subject. And no, that doesn't mean the VMA's necessarily think he's guilty.

The FBI searched for evidence for over 30 years and he was found not guilty, yet you want to wait more time for clarity? And he is innocent until proven guilty, you cant treat him like a potential pedophile for the rest of his life because someone accused him. If you want to do that, come live in the Middle East, thats what we do here.

he was also insanely wealthy and made people a lot of money which would warrant him being "protected" the same thing happened with Jimmy Saville...people knew what he was like but he never got outed because he was a public figure who was valuable. Jerry McCann was convicted of having indecent images of children and yet the media never mentions it...all the evidence points to the parents having something to do with her death but they haven't been convicted because the media coverage for Madeleine makes the government money. I think when it comes to the rich and famous you can never really tell what the truth is even when there have been court cases

You still cant accuse someone or treat them like sexual predators with no evidence. If that was the case, anyone can accuse a rich person and we should automatically believe it. Jeffrey Epstein got a good sentence because hes rich but they still made him guilty, they cant completely lie.

Its not a normal investigation, it was investigated by the FBI and the whole world was watching. The kids themselves admit their parents were lying and one ran away from his parents to another country. It was also proven that one of the parents drugged the kid to say whatever the father wanted. A lawyer admits that the parents told her they were gonna lie about it. We have way more evidence that he is not a pedophile than him being a pedophile.

That is a completely invented story spread by Michael fans on fansites. The FBI never investigated Michael Jackson but only offered technical assistance to local California investigations for two years, not 30. In fact, the most time the FBI ever spent on him was during the 13-year long investigation of an American citizen who repeatedly threatened Michael's life.

Stop spreading lies, do your research and stick to the facts.

Of course he is innocent until proven guilty. But like I said, his name is tainted at the moment. Not even because the majority of the public believe he's guilty but because it's a magnet for unwanted emotions and discussions that have nothing to do with the VMA's
