She does her newer performances (the ones focusing on covers and her newest original material) in a more traditional, rock band style (sitting at a piano, playing guitar, standing in front of a microphone). It’s unnecessary to compare contemporary male stars to old Gaga because her original approach isn’t relevant anymore. If we’re to compare Gaga’s new style with current male artists, I guess I would say Lewis Capaldi, Khalid, Brendon Urie, and Shawn Mendes are all somewhat similar to post-2014 Gaga. Babel 40,887 Posted July 21, 2019 Share Posted July 21, 2019 It may sound tragic to some but Britney and Justin T. are basically the opposite gender equivalent of each other, great dancers, not prominent vocalist but still decent, don’t create every aspect of their music but still are somehow involved in the process, came out around the same time and came from the same show.
