Guest Blue Madonna Posted July 12, 2019 Share Posted July 12, 2019 So we've had a lot of threads about what we want Gaga to do, but not a lot of realistic predictions Considering that she's already explored electro-pop, EDM, and country and she's only 10 years into her career which I expect will span at least 10 more years, she's definitely going to do a lot more than pop. I do think that LG6 is going to be pretty electronic, but I think it's realistic to expect she'll do another jazz album although probably not with Tony (hopefully solo), and I think she'll explore rock music in depth as well. She was awesome with Metallica, her voice and charisma really fits a rock setting and I think it's something she likely wants to do. I can see her doing some folk as well, and possibly some folk rock too. While I would love for her to do hip-hop, I feel like it's unlikely other than maybe a couple of songs here and there, similar to what she did with JND on ARTPOP, although I think depending on how hip-hop evolves as a genre, she could do a hip-hop EP. It would be a good way of experimenting with something new as well as something that would likely be popular. R&B could happen too. What other genres do you guys think Gaga will try out in the future? Because I'm certain that she'll do more than just pop!! FfFfFfFF 54,014 Posted July 12, 2019 Share Posted July 12, 2019 She already delved a bit into the genres you mentioned (folk: Joanne, hip hop: Paper Gangsta, Cake, J&D, R&B: Second Time Around, The Cure, Do What U Want). The only truly unexplored genres at this point are Afrobeat, K-pop and polka (since opera was on Government Hooker ). I think she'll probably stick to this since pop/rock is what's worked for her since 2008. Still PRAYING for that metal album though. I need that in my life.
