ThisGuyTony 23,632
Madonna released 3 albums this decade - MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X. Which one stands out to you as her best this decade? Pros: Very dance oriented/lots of bops Lots of personal and relatable lyrics (Love Spent) Cons: Some songs have bad lyrics but are still bops (Superstar, I Don't Give A) Nicki and LMFAO collabs Pros: Interesting concept Bonus tracks (Addicted, etc) are some of her best songs in years Cons: Another Nicki collab + more rapper collabs The production is loud and weird The slower/midtempo songs are skippable Autotune Baby Pros: Experimental sounds God Control and songs changing tempo/direction More meaningful You can tell she enjoyed recording this album Cons: Overuse of Autotune/Vocoder Repetitive lyrics Future feat. McYves 1,612
Madame X of course, people just don't understand how genius that album is. But honestly I love MDNA and Rebel Heart. She has never dissapointed me AT ALL. Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just drink my ****ing coffee and watch 90's cartoons and hush
mariomania1234 11,368
Rebel Heart remains her best effort this decade. There isn't a single track on Madame X that reaches the high's of Ghosttown, Devil Pray, and Joan of Arc.
whore 11,440
10 minutes ago, ThisGuyTony said: Cons: Overuse of Autotune/Vocoder This killed most of the album for me. It made me question if she could still hold a note if she wanted to she sounds great on “Crave,” “Crazy,” “Come Alive,” “Faz Gostoso,” and “I Rise,” and literally every other track abuses autotune/vocoder. It can be a great effect to use for emphasis, but not for entire productions
badgirlmeat 3,243
Madame X of course 🤠

Anderson123 30,503
Rebel Heart has great songs like Devil Pray, Wash All Over Me, Heartbreak City, Ghosttown, Joan of Arc, etc. that made me feel like she was going in the right direction after the disappointment MDNA was, but Madame X is on another level. Of course I'm voting for Madame X, the last time I felt this way about an album was Melodrama and even before that I think Born This Way.

ice bear 1
i'd say Madame X but Rebel Heart's length makes it full of good songs ice heard one side from above

insight 2,425
MDNA aged badly (standrd 12 track version), only 5-6 songs still sound good. Rebel Heart was amazing, BUT it's going in too many musical directions, like listening to 2 different albumms rolled into 1.
Spock 20,290
Automatic ban to anyone that says MDNA it has on or two good songs on it, but it’s the most hollow and soulless album I’ve ever heard. Also the mixing is terrible, I don’t understand how a world class producer like William Orbit (that gave us ROL ffs) could do that. She just blatantly pumped it out to go on tour Rebel Heart was really good, the promo and Grammy performance of LFL slayed, the concept was great. You could really tell she was into it, unlike MDNA I’m really liking Madame X so far, but it’s too early to tell for me if I like it more over RH who will love me when the night is over
