they are so naive... they fail to see the symbolism all over this song in both lyrics and production

I am so amazed after watching the video. It somehow made the song even better. I've never seen anything like it, it was so artistic and beautiful.

You can't expect that on this forum where a majority of the users are under, what 25? They're just not intellectually mature enough to appreciate a masterpiece yet. It isn't a bad thing, good taste takes time to develop. Remember, young gays are not aware of how impactful Madonna has been on human history and she just continues to show time and time again why she will always be remembered. This is such an obvious critique at the shiz show the USA is right now and I am living for it!! Long live Madame X!!

Oh Lord Jesus :ladyhaha: people can not like the things you enjoy... Just cause I don't want to listen to an autotuned/robotic Madonna doesn't mean I'm not intellectually mature.

Actually yes it does. I find people who don't worship Madonna, and even Lady Gaga, to be inferior in sooo many ways :whitney: BUT I don't want to break any forum rules, so I'm going end the discussion because I refuse to have a civil conversation with someone who is an obvious hater.

I ****ing love Madonna, by the way.

I genuinely don’t understand how people here enjoy this..... I guess a legend can just slap their name on anything and people will eat it up.

You should probably be a bit more open minded then? :trollga:

Okay, I've watched the video and wow, I loved everything about it.

I feel like Madame X will be one of her best albums.

Every song and video so far has raised the bar so high for me. I can't wait to get the album, and then see her on tour 4 months after!

I think it works as a traditional dark ballad with the first half and the piano. It sort of falls apart with both the nutcracker bits AND the robotic piece. However, one can't say she is chasing trends now with this? It is rather unique and for that I am glad it has it's place on the album.

The music is not sonically appealing to me AT ALL so I’m not into it.

Also surprised people here like it considering they bash so many songs by other artists many more people enjoy.

Spoiler

can’t hold a candle to the beauty of

I will not denounce the things that I have said
I will not renounce my faith in my sweet Lord
He has chosen me to fight against the anguish
I am not afraid to die 'cause I have faith in Him
God is on my side and I'll be fine
I am not afraid 'cause I have faith in Him
You can cut my hair and throw me in a jail cell
Say that I'm a witch and burn me at the stake
it’s all a bit mistake
dont you know to doubt him is a sin, I won't give in

This just proves to me how people really do just want to find any reason to hate on Madonna.. first she was chasing trends desperate for a hit and now she is too experimental. Oh well, us Madonna fans are LOVING this. This is classic Madonna/Mirwais absolute perfection. Y'all can hate all you want

Although her vocals have been the main issue in this record so far, I really admire the message of this song. It's powerful and very relevant into how society is shaped now. We all know what people in power do that is destroying us and killing us, the information is there, we just don't know how to act.

A wise man once told me that my generation is the most informed with the internet, but at the same time we are the most ignorant, pretty much what sums up this song. Great commentary Madonna, just wish the vocals were much better. The production is top notch and the arrangements, but the voice isn't with it's effects that are not really needed. I know Madonna is capable of singing this song without any autotune.

I think people just want a track that's executed properly and competently. Experimentation will only get you so far.

I'm also in hysterics at people thinking I don't understand the not so subtle message in the video because I'm under 25. :smh:
