I didn’t talk about it for a long time because I’d already been through worse, so I was just shocked at the time and just asked him to stop as politely as I could. But by then I had already heard of other women suffering the same abuse and when I finally gathered courage to talk to my sister I discovered she had lived a similar situation. What I mean is: it’s not ok and it is a form of sexual harassment; it is so much more common than we think (not only this, but women suffering other kinds of abuse) so it is news, we need to talk about it; and you don’t get to predict or control a reaction from a person who suffers this, even if it is/seems exaggerated. so, yeah, ok, it may be funny for some - it is a ridiculous situation after all -, but don’t forget it’s real and it affects people. Let’s keep kindness in mind always. Just editing to add that although I didn’t do much about it at the time, I sometimes regret it and wish I had a more active reaction or called the police. I think this situation is a lot of people's fantasy here so they make light of the situation. Some of the comments here are funny but if you think about it actually happening to you in real life-- it isn't anymore.
