Early reviews of Madame X are very positive

After the debacle of the Eurovision performance, some music journalists have had early copies of Madame X to listen to. Printed reviews are embargoed until closer to the on sale date but the first bit of feedback is very good news including :

"Yes, one disco track that takes us right back to that Detroit dance floor"

Well, I'm assuming he's referring to the entire album , not really the tracks that have been released. Either way, it sounds positive!

Early album listening reactions are notoriously hyperbolic and plain wrong.

If "Crave" and "I Rise" are a good example, this will be indeed a good moody album to listen to.

 

If "Medellin", is a good example, this will be a good effort for trying to create something both trendy and different in style, even if the result is not groundbreaking or the most pleasing to listen to.

 

If "Future" is a good example, this album will be a mess trying to pretend it's not.

I don't think she's doing this to be honest. If anything, I think Medellín was the only chance she had to have a "successful" radio/streaming song and she has only performed it once because she has released 3 more songs and giving them all equal attention. If she were desperate for a hit she'd have performed Medellín like 5 times already.

Crave doesn't really sound like she put the rapper there just for the hell of it, it actually fits the song. Future is not my favorite but still sounds okay in there, unlike Bitch I'm Madonna.
