I mean people have fallen in love with the slasher elements of AHS from Murder House, Bloody Face, to Twisty. Cult was also a decent hit for him after Roanoke. I think the 80's was a prime time in horror, that the nostalgia of it tends to be really enjoyable and has its own charm. So why not go back to the basics to keep a run down series going?
