Thoughts on the lowercase aesthetic?

shame

It seems like more and more artists are getting into this kind of minimalist, low-key aesthetic for their albums and single titles...

it started with Ariana

5bbca27002304e84af0c49daab3efbb8f552190f

and seemed to have been picked up by billie

as well as troye

and more recently Paparazzi singer Greyson Chance

So what do y'all think about this ongoing trend? are some of y'all tired of it yet? is this the era of no grammar?

It annoys me. I wish I could edit it and capitalize the letters that need capitalizing.

I think it works well on certain fonts but looks a little amateurish but imo it’s better than ALL CAPS LIKE EVERY SONG IS YELLING AT YOU

Billie's been doing it since before Ariana actually! :flutter:

I think it works in some contexts. For example, Billie's EP 'don't smile at me' fits very well with that aesthetic (in my opinion) as it is a chill, low-key project meant to convey a lot of teenage emotions, which works well with lowercase titles. Things like Sweetener though... I'm not so sure.

I can see Sweetener and TUN with upper-case titles but not Billie's if that makes sense.
