I'll try to be objective and not let my taste influence my answers

Aged well: The Edge of Glory, You And I, Applause

Aged poorly: Telephone, Alejandro, LoveGame, Judas, Monster

If i'm being really honest, you can really tell by the sound when most of her singles (especially TF/TFM) came out, which is not necessarily a bad thing

Aged well: Alejandro - still a ****ing smash when she sings it live, and her new riff at the end where she belts it out is life-altering

Aged poorly: none :vegas:

Just wanna drop my two cents in here:

What’s the problem if a song is dated? Why do songs from the past have to sounds like songs from today? Billie Jean, Bohemian Rhapsody and Baby One More Time are still considered incredible, yet they don’t sound modern at all.

It just bothers me when a song is dismissed because it “sounds dated”. People slander Monster because of this, but I don’t care if it sounds like 2010 electropop it’s still a bop. I don’t care if the entirety of The Fame or ARTPOP sound dated, they still sound amazing even if those sounds aren’t so common anymore.

No, dude. Gaga didn’t become popular on the charts until the end of 2008. There were plenty of electropop songs that became hits months before hers did. Heck, there were hit songs in 2007, like Timbaland’s “The Way I Are” and “Give It to Me”. Gaga didn’t start the trend, she just jumped on board early.

Timbalands production  is nothing like Gaga's

Aged Well: The Edge of Glory

Aged Badly: most non-singles from The Fame, if I had to pick one though: Beautiful, Dirty, Rich
