iAstroLeo 14,206
This is a very silly question tbh, there is no right answer it depends on the song, the artist's popularity, what's trending, etc.

I know, but I just noticed that it took them two chart weeks to debut instead of one. I am just trying to figure out how it works to get a better understanding of charts. he/him/his

I am just trying to figure out how it works to get a better understanding of charts. Basically, there's three types of data that contribute to the billboard chart: 1. Sales (iTunes, Amazon, etc) 2. Streaming (Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc) 3. Radio Play (goes by AI, or audience impressions) Sales and streaming tracking runs from Fridays to Thursdays, and radio runs from Monday to Sunday. With Billboard charts being released the following week. Basically, most artists now release new music on Fridays, because that's the first day of sales & streaming tracking (where the majority of billboard points come from), so they get a full week of points. However, new songs from popular artists usually have a radio deal in place, so they get a lot of radio points for the last three days of tracking on that format (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) So basically, a song from an A-list artist could have a quick debut in the 70-100 region of the chart from a few days of radio, then shoot up to the top 10, or even number the following full week (after sales and streaming data has been collected) 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
bloody g 31,730
Every thursday night there's a cut, and the chart is done according to all song's performances during the last 7 day cycle. That's why most songs are released on Friday, to have as much time as possible to have a high peak. 『𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝』
