So just keep in mind, songs before like 2002, charted much shorter because of how the hot 100 worked. So Christina charting passed 20 weeks was pretty big.

Keep in mind songs charting before like 2002, charted shorter because of the way it worked, so 20 weeks was the norm for most top 10 songs, anything more was major,. Don't Forget About Us was actually one of Mariah's worst performing #1 songs. Not the worst, but one of them

I was also wondering, during the "Butterfly" era, how come only 2 singles were eligible to chart in the US? I was reading some facts about her albums and it states that 3 of the singles (Butterfly, The Roof, and Breakdown) were ineligible to chart at the time because of Billboard's rules.
