Did MTN as a single choice end Gaga's huge GP success?

I think that Marry the Night as a single choice ended Gaga's massive GP success

If she'd ended the BTW era after 4 massive singles like she did with The Fame then I doubt the GP would feel over exposed to her

She ended TF and TFM eras before a single could flop. Would it have been worth ending the BTW era after You and I? :interestinga:

I know that. I'm just wondering. She is successful and more successful than almost every singer of this era in both music and film. I'm just brainstorming, not criticising or praising

No, it was Alejandro mv. She played it “safe” until that music video.

Born this way message and Judas concept ended her massive appeal.

This is why Gaga doesn't visit this site anymore.  Threads like this.  Always with the negativity on her own damn site.

Judas was her third and final strike. She hasn’t had a #1 on pop radio since then.

Alejandro and Born This Way were polarizing, but I think that she could’ve recovered afterwards with The Edge of Glory as the planned second single. If TEOG would’ve had a radio deal, it would’ve debuted at #1.

it was bound to happen, whatever the single was. u can't be on top forever. could she have avoided it by doing a katy perry? maybe. but she isn't a sellout. and even katy flopped lol so it doesn't really matter

unless you're drake :neyde:

Judas was the single that damaged her GP appeal, not MTN.

this. and also, by november 2011 Gaga was extremely overexposed. No matter what song would have served as 5th single, it was bound to underperform
