A controversial snippet of a 2014 version of the 2017 Lust for Life track has leaked featuring lyrics on abusive relationships and a staggered response to her notorious Guardian interview.

“She wants to die, lie lie lie. (I can tell you what I really want) Well she should ****ing try, (I can tell you what I really want) lie lie lie (I can tell you what I really want)”

She is speaking in the view of the public and how they don’t believe she is depressed and suicidal, so they tell her to do it (which actually happened).

The song changed dramatically from an outspoken view on criticism to a beacon of hope during hard times accompanied by verses from Stevie Nicks. You can compare the demo lyrics to the final lyrics on your own!

Her vocals as always are haunting but I’m glad she’s doing so much better, she really was in a dark place in 2014.

I mean I'm happy she's happy and all but... this demo sounds way more to my taste than the album version. From just the snippet and the lyrics it seems much more dark, atmospheric and haunting, which honestly is what made me fall in love with Lana

I hope she can find a way to return to those darker themes and sounds without letting those feelings creep into her real life.
