Looking at this list, some of the choices are REALLY questionable. Not even being shady, but I actually don't know how they compiled this. How is Ed Sheeran's Shape of You, which came out only in 2017, only one below the Macarena, which everyone has heard countless times and has been earning royalties for decades? How is the Chainsmoker's Closer 30 spots higher than Queen's Another One Bites The Dust, and leagues higher than some Beatles songs? idk it doesn't make sense to me? Again, NOT being shady, but the amount of time some of these songs have had to build legacy would, I think, trump some of these songs that are only months old.

it's based on the Hot 100 and the time spent on it lol. It's all very factual and based on statistics. If you were able to see the chart lives of these songs on the Hot 100, I think it would make more sense to u lol

This came from statistics but still it is biased. There are songs that still remain culturally relevant after their chart runs. On the other hand, some charted songs have almost no impact after the trend.

For example, a MJ non-single song would be performed on Glee or The Voice or used as movie soundtrack or whatever despite maybe a short chart run.

SELFIE (a song peaked at 16 on HOT 100) can be hardly found in a movie soundtrack or The Voice performance or even at nightclubs 5 years after its release.

Therefore this list doesn’t measure the impact of a song. In fact some rules in the HOT100 chart (like removing recurring songs) actually make this even more biased. This list is in favour of quick little singles than quality and culturally relevant music.

It’s like they chose the songs that you couldn’t escape from! Culturally irrelevant and an indictment of an indulgant society.

Before ya'll say "that's so low they paying dust to Gaga"...

There's hundreds if not thousands of hot 100 entrees every year so if were talking all time, anything in the top 1000 is pretty darn good

Bad Romance should be higher than just dance tho :neyde:. I like Just Dance but it is not her best song :rip:

This is incredible such an icon, young artist having hits that have cultural significance. 💓

When "Closer" is the 13th best song of all time :rip:

I like the song but come on.....

Just Dance getting the most points for Billboard despite probably having the worst recurrent stats of her major hits. :rip:

Proves how Billboard isn't totally accurate for a song's success.

It’s become quite apparent that Billboard killed the charts :what:

I mean...just look at this hideous list :excuseu:

Is this what we will choose to remember? :reductive:

Or is this what we’d rather forget??? :oprah:

NONONONO

I find it really hypocritical when fans question lists just because Gaga is not that high on that specific list. When it’s some random list that places Gaga higher without any evidence backing it up, it’s always received positively. Facts are facts guys, and this specific list is based on BB charts, so there’s actual evidence behind it. This type of fake news rethoric is pervasive, so let’s not bring it into pop culture.

And her positions are nothing to be embarrased about - it’s about 60 years of Hot 100.

You go Gaga!

Sis no-one is complaining about the lack of Gaga.

More like where is Madonna. Where is Stevie Wonder. Where is Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Prince???

The point is that the list overwhelmingly is biased towards one hit wonders. Songs that people instantly regretted and wondered what the hell they were thinking.
