Thought this was the best place to ask since a lot of you are Lana Del Rey fans. So, I want to ask you guys to give me a list of songs by Lana that sound different from each other. And also, don’t have the same topic. Back in 2013 when I found out about her, I thought she was about to replace Gaga for me and become my main pop girl. But, throughout the years I’ve noticed something, everything I hear from her sounds the same. I really like her voice and wish I liked her music more. But I get bored.

You know this is just my opinion, right?

Honestly, her most diverse collection are her unreleased tracks, but I’ll try and answer this with a combination of both released and unreleased.

“Video Games” - piano ballad

“Summertime Sadness” - anthemic, punchy chorus

“Cruel World” - classic rock

“Florida Kilos” - pop

”Flipside” - folk

”Summer Bummer” - trap

”Be My Daddy” - bubblegum pop

”Black Beauty” (demo) - pop ballad

”Break My Fall” - teen pop

”Fordham Road” - country

”Is It Wrong?” - rock-pop

”Kinda Outta Luck” - go-go

“Paradise” - pop

”Ridin’” - hip-hop

”She’s Not Me” - dark pop

”Velvet Crowbar” - country-folk

I tried to refrain from any of the dream pop cause it’s hard to find one that stands out

Thank you all. I’ll be checking them out today. I can’t believe Lana and Playboi Carti are on a song together..

Maha Maha (unreleased) - very oriental, mystique sounding

Off to The Races - one of her most upbeat songs, hip hop influence

Terrence Loves You - classic, retro and jazzy

Hollywood (unreleased)

Aviation - very folk and she uses a higher voice

Brite Lites - hypnotic, house-inspired

Cruel World - harsh guitar + reggae drums

Behind Closed Doors (unreleased) - one of her poppiest songs

Young and Beautiful - orchestral

@TheAlpha enjoy!

Quick recommendation- if you find Lana boring I suggest you don't listen to much of Honeymoon. I personally think Lust For Life is by far her best album to date, with highlights being Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind, Tomorrow Never Came, Love, Lust For Life and 13 Beaches. Other favourites of mine include Dark Paradise, National Anthem, Cola, Born To Die, Cruel World.

imo Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind and Cruel World are her two best songs.

She’s very very very diversive. People don’t realize this because they hear “Lana Del Rey” and automatically think “Oh, that sad chick.” It kind of puts her on the back burner as someone you can only listen to when you’re sad and I personally know SO many people that say they can’t listen to her when they’re NOT sad, which is utterly ridiculous. I would create a list but others above me have already done so, and they’ve done it perfectly! If you’re bored of Lana, that just means you haven’t explored her enough.

The thing with Lana (and a lot of artists actually) is that at first all of her songs may sound very similar but the more you get into her the more differences you’ll notice. All of her albums are different yet they all are very Lana. BTD is hip hop influenced with it’s beats, Ultraviolence is more rock-oriented, Honeymoon is very dreamy, ethereal and more minimalistic, Lust For Life I find quite similar to BTD sonically with trap influences but imo it’s more diverse with some folky (for the lack of better word) tracks and is more 60s inspired while Paradise for me is like a transition from BTD to Ultraviolence.

I’d suggest to listen to BTD Paradise Edition first since it has the most catchy songs and her best known singles, then Lust For Life 'cause it’s the most diverse as I already mentioned, then Ultraviolence which is totally different and much more dark and then Honeymoon as the last one because I get this impression that it’s her least liked album (from what I’ve read on various sites and fb groups on the internet) and it can only be fully appreciated if you already are into Lana, although it’s my personal favourite from her.
