Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of the English language would realize he’s singing about the girl the song is about in this line. 

Y’all’s obsession with this man’s sexuality is disgusting and offensive. If he’s gay, which he has said he’s not, he’ll come out when he’s ready to. Do some of you not remember how it felt to be pressured about your sexuality? Why in the hell would you do that to someone else?

Agree 100%, this obsession is sickening, disturbing and pointless. And its not only about Shawn, they do that here all the time.
