Lana Del Rey - The King: Documentary Soundtrack

It's just been announced that Lana Del Rey will be contributing to an Elvis Presley documentary, The King. It's set to release on June 22nd and will presumably feature LDR on the soundtrack. Her old 2008 track, Elvis, was registered quite a number of months ago and could possibly be getting an updated version. Either that or we could be getting a new song!

On another note, kind of related. LDR and Priscilla Presley have been compared to each other since her debut and I don't know if this documentary is dramatized, but it would be pretty f---ing cool if she were in the film as her!

Listen to the old demo here:

UPDATE:

Looks amazing! Not dramatized, but still really interesting.

Hmm I doubt she'd play as Priscilla because it's a documentary not a film, but I'm excited regardless!

Now this dilemma:

Best Original Song:

- The Shallow by Lady Gaga for A Star Is Born

-The King by Lana del Rey for The King

-TBA by Sam Smith for Another Bond Oscar That Got Away

:oprah:

Eddie

I hope she gets an oscar for her song (if it's good) but now Gaga will have to compete against her for one? :messga:

What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?

Whispering

If it's an old song, it won't be eligible for an Oscar. Just an FYI. :)
