DiscoHeaven23 35,007
You may have seen me doing threads similar to this in recent days. Well today's post is all about songs. It's based on the Billboard Hot 100. It's based on the artist that had the best performance in the Hot 100 in each year. A way an artist could've excelled that year is from MEGA hits, multiple regular hits or a combo. Billboard year run from mid-November of one year to mid-November of the next. i.e. the Billboard year of 2017 was from November 11, 2016 through November 9, 2017.I can not find year 1989 - 1992 '79-'83 '84-'88 '89-'93 '94-'98 '99-'03 '04-'08 '09-'13 '14-'

Control was released in '86, and it had few hits, but I guess Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet. both were bigger than Control (single wise as well as album wise). Like Control had 5 top-5s and 1 top-20 (0 #1s) in 1986, but Rhythm Nation 1814 had 7 top-5s, including 4 #1s during 89-90!

I thought they were mega chart toppers each had their years where they were the top artists (albums and singles combined), but Adele never had more than two big singles in one year: Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You Were in 2011 and Set Fire to the Rain was 2012. Her songs in 2011, couldn't competes with all the hits Katy had in 2011 to win that year. And up until 2015, Taylor wasn't really a dominating singles girl. She was #2 in 2015, but The Weeknd did end up beating her for the spot.
Luxe Ford 3,481
I should be proud there's a Swedish band there, but my nationalism don't go as far as to endorse Ace of Base or one of the guys neo-nazi roots. What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
