In an interview from 2012, she mentions having just written the song calling it “Life is Still Beautiful” and saying she saw a movie that worked perfectly with the idea the song portrayed (a man and his best friend finding each other) and she let them use the song for the movie and she had already seen scenes from the movie that had the song in it. This would be very very unlikely for it to be AOA since the movie had not been filmed in 2012, yet. The plotline of the film also does not follow the idea of a man finding his best friend and them running away with each other. Evidently, things didn’t work out and the movie didn’t feature the song or wasn’t released (we have no idea of what the movie as titled) and the song went in movie soundtrack limbo, until it was picked up for the AOA trailer. Possibly our only way of ever hearing it, and now it’s in the rights of LionsGate. Meaning Lana couldn’t release it even if she wanted to! (They’d have to buy the rights back) And there’s the true story of Life Is (Still) Beautiful. The original one she deemed to raw and personal (it delved into her career for the past 6 years) and she was asked what the original title was and she responded w/ Malibu.
