The song is a success on its own plus there's really no escaping this, we really cannot downgrade any song or album that reached a platinum or multiplatinum status with the help of streaming. That is how it works. After all Joanne reached that with sps. Just bc you do not like the song, it doesn't mean the song is not a success. Keep it cute. And it's not like I like the song. We just have to acknowledge its success. As simple as that.

Taylor Swift's last three albums have reached No.1 – and none of them has hung around for more than a week. Introductory topper Red dipped 1-5 on its second frame in 2012, and 1989 tripped 1-3 in 2014 – but Swift's latest album, Reputation, shows even less staying power, sliding to No.8 (19,720 sales) after opening atop the list a week ago.

This discussion started with praying/MR for SOTY, a grammy award aka a award that is based/voted by US people and US succes. In US/Canada both Praying and MR are big hits, MR being the bigger one so far thanks to the superbowl. I agree that praying is nowhere a hit in EU or other parts of the world but the same could be said about MR. But this is an American award cermony so it doesn't mather how great these songs did on a ww scale.

And Praying has a 2x platinum status in Canada. See? I can do that too. I mean let's just give credit when it's due. No one said Praying is a smash. It's just a successful song, especially in the US.

If Praying turns into a Tik Tok 2.0 mess where Praying takes MR's spot for SOTY just like Til Tok stole BR's #1 on H100 then Kesha is OVER.
