There are concerts from the exact same arena full all the way to the back.... were they then hoping for a stampede?

We have this discussion everytime. GA tickets were sold out for the first show. Yet the first show GA floor looked exactly like the 2nd show GA floor. That arena is really wide. Ziggo dome on the other hand has a compact floor. There were probably still the same amount of people on both floors (~2000)

Y'all are acting like those kids they test to see if they're stupid when an adult pours a glass of water into a skinnier glass and then asks them which glass contained more

makes no sense... it means that organizers would risk security everywhere but Barcelona... Yet in Barcelona there were two shows... meaning that the interest was spread across two dates, and the floor remained half empty, which wouldn't have happened if there was only one date in Barcelona, or if the album had been a bigger success in Spain.

That's why Adele or Bieber had full floor attendance. Without the so called "security measures"

Did those shows you are talking about happen after the terrible attacks that happened in Barcelona?

Just looked up Adele and she has chairs on GA with gaps separating sections.
If you take the space of all those gaps and redistribute it to the back then the arena floor looks half empty.

Depeche Mode in December 2017, just a few weeks before Gaga , with a much smaller stage, no satellite stages or B stage, meaning even more people on the floor, all the way to the back...

You're forgetting that Gaga had the satellite stages and the B stage that take up more space than Adele's gaps, and even with all that used space, still the floor was half empty
