labels have a habit of overstating artist's sales figures so the wiki pages only let them stay within a certain thereshold close to RIAA certifications. For example if a label says a singer has 100mil sales but RIAA only certifies them to 30mil the wiki wont let u edit it to say 100mil

It's about all certifications WW, not only RIAA. Other than that you are right

ok im little new at this and confused a little so your saying wiki doesnt give the right numbers? if correct seems little wrong.

I'll try to word it a little better:

Labels such as Interscope often lie and inflate the selling numbers of their artists to make it seem like they have sold more than they have done. This happens to pretty much every artist.

Because of this Wikipedia pages discussing selling figures will not use numbers from labels if they differ too much from certificated sales, for example, if a label says an album sold 15million copies but is only 1x platinum, Wikpedia generally not display anything too much above the platinum amount of sales (1million in the US).
