I don't think it was because of its sales but because it reminds her of a phase of her life she wants to forget. Thrasher 22,980 Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 I think she could link ARTPOP with a very bad period in her own life and career, 'cause Gaga doesn't seem to me the kind of artist that relies so much on the public opinion to completely ignore it for its bad reception.Ā She could have easily put Applause in her SB setlist or during her Carpool Karaoke, but she didn't, even if it was a solid hit. Leeo 2,366 Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 FunFact: Joanne is shorter than ARTPOP (13 tracks vs 15 tracks) and she sang almost every hit while doing artRAVE (LoveGame was the only song that didn't make the cut from her top 10's). she could easily add 2 songs from ARTPOP while replacing the other songs for Joanne ones and it would have the same number of songs that artRAVE had back then. But the "usual" is that every new tour, the setlist gets bigger to fit more old Ā & new songs. (MB around 19, BTWB around 22 and artRAVE around 24) Ā Gaga could easily put a song like Sexxx Dreams in the middle of the setlist, next to songs like Alejandro & Dancin' in circles.
