Lady Gaga : 'I am pulling out a new album in the next few months'

What's probably going to end up happening is that she'll release her lead single and about one month later, her album will drop.  I'm thinking her lead single/album release schedule will be similar to Adele's where the lead single and the album release will be one month apart.  

That strategy is working out great for other artists. It makes perfect sense for her to do this, especially after what happened last time. Though I dislike Drake's strategy of surprise releases recently, you can't deny its worked out for him and announcing his new album the way he has is certainly smart - a small window of hype, but not too much or none at all. But honestly, I don't want her releasing it the same way Adele did. That strategy ensured that she only had one succcessful single and then it all fell apart as everyone just bought the complete album. I know she obviously sells differently but the only difference between her and other artists who do this is the volume of sales. But it's the same story - give them the full experience all at once and it's over as soon as it begins. That's the last thing Gaga needs right now. I want 2 singles pre-album, no promo singles or sneak peeks (almost all the songs on AP were performed pre-release and it ruined everything) and then album, so we can have the chance for at least 2 hits. But to have it all this happen in less than 3 months is welcome.

I think the strategy nowadays is for most artists to frontload everything early on so that they rake in the sales.  Like I you, I hope Gaga releases two singles or three before she drops the album, but sadly I think those days are long gone for everybody.  I could be wrong, though.

She already did that. Bad Romance was released in October and The Fame Monster in November and even so we had three hits (it could have been four if Dance in the Dark had had a proper single treatment).

The schedule of TFM:

Bad Romance - October 26

Album Release - November 18

Telephone - January 26

Alejandro - April 20

Dance in the Dark - July 26

I think LG5 will be something like this.

I don't really know why but I think she'll do it Beyonce-like, ie just one day randomly dropping the album and break the internet. That's why she's been sooo secretive about it. What do u think?

I have no doubt she'll release the single very close to the release of the album which I can't see happening for a few months at least. I'm not hyping myself anymore.

Theres Bey and Britney happening very soon so its ok. Their chart boost will hopefully Finnish by september so Gaga can release.
