In Puerto Rico we listen to a lot of music. The oldest type is probably Plena and newest reggeatton.  There is also a lot of Salsa and Merengue.

I didn't know you were from Puerto Rico :flutter:

I'll leave the only two spanish artists that I find interesting.

Monica Naranjo, for me, she's the best voice that Spain has.

And Alaska, from Fangoria. The ultimate gay icon. :hor:

I never really considered regional music Mexican. When I think of Mexican music I think of people like Vicente Fernandez, Juan Gabiel. Just really great music and I love love love Selena. I think she might sing regional music. I always think of regional musica as Texan with Mexican decent. That's just my point of view.

that's not regional music... like I said, mariachi is like a mixture between pop and regional music whereas regional music is more experimental :derpga:
no but seriously they use super weird instruments and dancers like.. tap dance to it it's great to see it from a cultural point of view but if you look at it from the point of view of a millennial twink then you're gong to consider it pretty awkward

@Licq

Our "Pop Princess", she used to do covers a lot and was still hailed a pop princess, now she does original pop songs in our language which was really a step up, it may be bubblegum pop but I'm proud (ish) that there's progress:

My favorite band, Hale, writes original music in both English and Tagalog (our) languages:

Our JT/JB/*insert hot teen artist's name*. Also original songs, I like this song a lot its very pop and sweet as hot chocolate fudge:

Give them a listen, maybe just a minute or two and lemme know what you think. :flutter:
