"The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that 74 songs qualified to compete for the 2016 Oscar for Best Original Song. Members of the Music Branch will be asked to watch song clips on DVD and then vote; the five songs receiving the highest number of votes will become the nominations.
