The Hello star’s father Marc Evans is “thrilled” that the pair have patched up their relationship

 

She once said that she would spit on her dad if they ever came face to face, but now it looks as though Adele has forgiven her father Marc Evans.

The Hello star , who made an incredible comeback this week with her new single, called her new album a “make-up record” and it sounds as if she’s done just that with her estranged dad.

“Adele and I are fine, it was just a misunderstanding,” Marc told The Sun on Sunday.

“We’ve patched things up, everything’s fine, but I don’t want to make further comment. We’re fine.”

The mother-of-one had an explosive bust-up with her father after Marc suggested that Adele’s man troubles could be down to him leaving her mum Penny when she was little.

After his comments, she furiously ranted in 2012: “He’s f*****g blown it. He will never hear from me again. It makes me angry. To come back after 10 years and be like, ‘Maybe her problem with me comes down to me’.

“It’s like, ‘How dare you comment on my life?’. It makes my blood boil.”

 

The pair are alleged to have repaired their relationship with the help of Adele’s grandmother Rose, who the Someone Like You star has remained close to.

An insider claimed that Adele relented upon hearing her father, who was suffering from bowel cancer, wanted to meet his grandson.

They added that the two began to talk after he had tumours removed from his colon.

“It was very difficult for them but it’s lovely that they have been able to come through all those years of hurt,” the source said.

“Marc is thrilled and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardise their relationship this time.”
