im not comparing him to gaga

he still was smart

im not saying he wasnt evil and crazy

"Smart minds think alike" = Gaga and Hitler think the same or close.

Einstein was smart, Hawking is smart, Cicero was smart. Being able to kill millions of people and leading Europe into the biggest catastrophe  doesn't makes you smart. It makes you an insane psychopath.

"A lie told often enough becomes the truth," is also attributed to Vladimir Lenin, so it's more likely that Hitler's take was an expansion of his.

The concept is also in this quote: "There's nothing so absurd that if you repeat it often enough, people will believe it." - William James (1842-1910) The father of modern Psychology.

Also, it wasn't Hitler who said it in later years, but one of his ministers of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels.

However, I found a site that notes the quote is often taken out of context: http://bytwerk.com/gpa/falsenaziquotations.htm

"This is the most popular forged quotation. The full version:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” "

He wasn't referring to Hitler's methods, he was criticizing another group. I think it's pretty known that Hitler legitimately believed his whack views- he wasn't making up a lie to repeat for people to believe, he really thought what he was doing was true and right. :wtf:
