Maybe she is meaning that he slaps back at her in the longer filmed version that she mentioned and that we have all only seen the censored version of it on air all these years. I love that article and that you found her and this interview of her. I LOVE this song and video so much, it's one of my all time pop music favorites and that article is so correct and celebrating it's presence. It could be my wedding song I would not change a thing about the song or video, it is all so perfect. . It still holds strong today as a pop iconic moment of sound, poetry and vision.
