I think you can be a true fan if you don't spend lots of money on her or see her live.

And you technically don't just "spend the money on Gaga", for example when you go see her live, you spend it on an experience in your life you will always remember. And in my case I met some of my closest friends at her shows.

 

I also got to travel, which I normally wouldn't have done on my own, but seeing Gaga perform was a good reason to go for it and experience things I wouldn't have otherwise.

 

I do feel bad for fans who have never seen her live, cause it's so amazing and I can't imagine what its like being a fan and never have that experience. 

I feel and have experience that what you invest, wether it be time, energy or money, can be very rewarding. Gaga is such a giving artist, I almost feel obliged to give her my time and money, she deserves it. 

 

I treat it like a hobby. Like you would spend money on playing sports, going out, going to the movies, I set aside a little bit of money each months so I have saved up when she's touring again.
