Taylor is slaying. Madonna "the queen of pop", simply isn't. And again, the OP has nothing to do with Taylor being a better artist or a better singer over Madonna. That is your opinion. Because you were not able to interpret given info and infer what is meant by the person who wrote it. You started talking about how she is selling super good, and very successful which I agree. Please use your brain while you read, differentiate separate terms, points from each other. And also if someone says that Taylor is queen of pop, it is related to Madonna. If she stops being creative artist, I would not watch her closely as I do now, but I believe she is always gonna be a qualified artist... It is not a shade. I do not bother myself to condescend people I do not even know. In fact, like most people, I respect her for all the stuff she's done in the past but I'm not fascinated by her. Taylor is a pop star that succeeded on her own without trying to be "the next Madonna" or modelling her career after her. She's 100% herself and doesn't need comparisons with Madonna who used shock tactics to stay relevant. As you can see, Taylor doesn't need shock tactics or controversy. Of that sum, the majority is pure album sales (281,000). 1989's album sales now stand at 2.5 million after five weeks on sale. Amazing, especially with the current music climate!
