While Gaga certainly didn't lack for fame in 2013, the button-pushing Born This Way album album had soured many critics and fans. For the first time in half a decade of superstardom, people weren't shocked by her antics anymore -- even worse, they often seemed exhausted by her. Artistically speaking, she'd spent the last five years challenging and subverting America's views on art and fame. But after releasing an entire album called ARTPOP featuring endless countdown apps and reverse-Warholian inspired Koons covers, there didn't seem to be anywhere else to go in that realm. Computer 10,966 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Share Posted October 8, 2014 Bedtime stories unlike ARTPOP actually saved and cleaned madonna's career and image  her image was really damaged after the erotica era, but with bedtime stories she kinda got people back at her awith ray of light she was on the top of the world again  meanwhile ARTPOP did the oppositive to gaga's career and image So maybe C2C is the Bedtime Stories in this situation. The non-earthshattering but swift selling palette cleanser that cleans and saves Gaga's image. iloveit123 130 Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Â Gaga took 5 years to accomplish what Madonna did in 20 Â Ummm Madonna's first 5 years as an artist were massive (and then went well beyond 5 years). Gaga's too though, yes. Â Bedtime Stories was at least a bit of a better seller after 'Erotica' in the US going triple platinum and scoring the biggest US number one of her career with 'Take a Bow' Â I love lots of tracks on the album but not others. Where will Gaga be in 20 years? Discuss...   Did you forget American Life?  And Bedtime Stories is just not a good comparison to ARTPOP. At all. Bedtime Stories was able to fix some of Madonna's image, and led to Evita = Ray of Light.
