I'm not judging anything based on this but I'm really hoping for a radically different direction on her next album

Do you mean different direction than what you hear here or from Electra Heart? If you mean the latter, judging by what she's said since Electra Heart's release, it will be different. If you mean the former: she's had a piano-centric song on each album (Numb, Buy The Stars), this sounds like it could be this album's one judging by this snippet.
