JPM 781 Posted September 21, 2013 Share Posted September 21, 2013 I've been thinking about the ARTPOP's tour setlst ever since the beginning of TBTWB. Since she's not releasing a deluxe version she has to squeeze 15 songs along with some of her older songs. She should definitely use some medleys, par exemple, Paparazzi/Telphone, LoveGame/Just Dance, or something like that, at first I thought about The Trilogy Medley: Paparazzi, Telephone, Aura but then I thought Aura could serve as a great opening. Applause MUST close the show as Gaga flies during the last chorus over the audience and she drops the micro right before A-R-T-P-O-P. I also thought she could use as an encore Just Dance and Applause. The songs would fit well together. I wouldn't mind if she completely dropped Alejandro. It just doesn't fit. She could use some non-released BTW gems for interludes, par exemple - HML (Video Interlude) followed by Sex Dreams and Bad Romance. MTN (Video Interlude) followed by Brooklyn Nights, all tho, I'd prefer her singing MTN live in full + the last part. She should definitely revamp Poker Face, it sounds dated after every night. And it's boring, maybe a special remix for the tour? She sould definitely do BTW and TEOG, one of the most iconic songs of her career. She should drop Judas, the song is awful live. Gaga should definitely perform at least one song live acoustic, maybe IWBWY since rumour has it it's gonna be on the record, but I'm not here for a 30 minutes long acoustic set mess. Tbh, she should perform ScheiBe live again and maybe she could feature DINT in a medley or something. But medleys are necessary if we want to hear our favourite songs + ARTPOP material without Gaga cutting in half 30 songs every now and then. 19-21 songs live sound right to me, she's a human being after all. PS: Maybe she could ask the audience which songs they would like to hear live (non-included) and she could perform an acapella of them, or some unrelead ARTPOP song right before the encore? Slap 15 ARTPOP songs with Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Telephone, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory and Yoü and I - easy. Because it seems to me, while her previous work is a type of continuum, that she really is wanting to sing ARTPOP in her shows.
