It helped her artistry, made more people love her again, introduced her to a new genre of music (I'm speaking commercially, as I know she's been singing it since she was 13), and reignited her passion which might carry over to LG5. From a commercial standpoint (I'm a marketing major, I can't help but think like this), it pushed her past 10 million albums sold in the US, the $500 million dollar tour gross benchmark, and won her a Grammy.
