Gaga's "Lost" Rock Album....

For fun I've been throwing together a "rock" Gaga playlist based on existing songs, whether studio, live, or unreleased material.  Rock is a pretty broad genre and covers a lot of ground, and Gaga tends to have a rock undercurrent in many of even her "dance" tracks which comes out in live versions when she cranks up the guitars and spanky gets ahold of the drums.   Some of these you may not consider "rock" so much, but Gaga has covered the gamut from rock ballads, country rock, Beatles and Queen influenced work, Glam, and "metal" songs in disquise (aka, Bad Romance, MJH).  Of course the entire EP Red and Blue is a rock EP.

I think the thing to take away from this is that even if Gaga was to have a more direct rock influence on the next album, there is a lot of ground she can cover and it doesn't all have to sound the same.

What other songs can you think of you'd add to a "rock" playlist?  I didn't even do remixes but there are some great rock and metal remixes out there.

I haven't really tried to order these although they are sorta chronological at the moment.

I love the clinton performance of bad romance.

But this darkwave/goth rendition of bad romance takes the cake for me

Is rockshow rock?

that one is hard to quantify.   It's like Rock Disco.   Same with Sexy Ugly, hard to figure out a "genre" for it.  Which is cool actually, when a song is not easily quantifiable.  I like both RockShow and Sexy Ugly.

The Queen of course. I'm also tempted to put Future Love, with the appropriate instrumental it could easily fit as a rock song.

I wouldnt classify Red White and Blue as rock tho. More like blues to me imo.
