No offense but Cheek to Cheek (A JAZZ ALBUM) sold 131,000 copies, I'm not bashing Madonna, I'm just glad that Gaga is powerful.

The Queen of Pop still having the highest female one-week sales of the year :applause:

Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor are ahead of her

Let me just remind you guys that the album leaked like 3 months in advance

I highly doubt that significantly impacted its sales, whoever was going to buy the album was going to buy the album anyway. Period. At any rate, its still drastically lower than her last album. Use another excuse, everyone talked **** about gaga for selling 200k+ her first week which was lower than Born This Way. I don't see the point in reaching for excuses for Madonna just because shes Madonna.

I never cared about charts and numbers, but it's interesting to see how media treats Madonna like a baby "despite a #2 debut...", finding excuses for her, no one dares to call this a flop. Same media was all over Gaga, quoting fake journalists/madonna stans like Angela Cheng and even today they have to mention ARTPOP as "a flop" and disappointment.

What kind of double standards.

I know. I wasn't talking about Madonna.

Numbers are not bad considering the way the insdustry is so quickly, progressively decaying, but this is far from impressive. I guess when you are a Queen, you get treated like a Queen... move on peasents!

Because Madonna had to deal with leaks of more than 50 demos off her new album. And even the Super Deluxe edition of the album leaked months ago maybe? ;)

And I don't see where they are treating her like a baby, when just the other day there was a hit thread about how her tour is flop when the tickets aren't even on sale yet?

@darkwolf you know, when you really want, you can make thousands of excuses and that's ok. But it's unfair how only Gaga was torn to shreds despite being #1 and selling more. By both media and other fanbases.

Did Cheek to Cheek leak three months before the official release?
