About this thread:

The Billboard charts have finally released its last chart issue date for 2014 (week of Dec. 27th), and we're now officially halfway through the 2010s (2010-2019) in the Billboard chart calendar, the current decade wherein the stars who debuted in the mid-2000s became brighter as the decade began and are on track to become the top artists of this decade. These acts include Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. And as the 2010s started, new breakout artists such as Kesha, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Drake, and Adele have joined the music industry's center stage. And in recent years, we've also seen the rise of a newer batch of promising acts led by Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Sam Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, Iggy Azalea, and Ariana Grande.

But this decade isn't just dominated by the new generation of music stars. Household names in the 2000s and even decades before continue to sell millions of records across the globe in the early 2010s, while some even to this day. These veterans include Eminem, Beyonce, P!nk, Madonna, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, and Jay Z. New and old faces alike have topped the charts this decade so far.

And to celebrate the first half of the 2010s, here's a thread remembering all artists who have topped the Billboard charts the most, alongside their cumulative weeks at #1, since 2010, entirely according to Billboard. Welcome to the Mid-decade report! And here are the acts who defined the first half of the decade with their hit albums and singles across the Billboard charts:

Rihanna and Katy have slayed so hard. 2 great music forces to be reckoned with tbh :legend: :legend:

Gaga did well to, and she slayed the electronic charts so badly :legend:

But this decade isn’t just dominated by the new generation of music stars. Household names in the 2000s and even decades before continue to sell millions of records across the globe in the early 2010s, while some even to this day. These veterans include Eminem, Beyoncé, P!nk, Madonna, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, and Jay Z. New and old faces alike have topped the charts this decade so far.

Not 1 or 2 or even 3... but thru 4 decades and still mentioned in these lists and on top of her game, when will anyone else in music history tbqfh!!! :air:
