Lady Gaga to guest-edit V Magazine's January issue

Not only will Lady Gaga grace the cover of V Magazine's V99, but she is also taking over as a guest editor for the entire issue! 

"This issue of V is about all of these people coming together to express a passion for art and fashion, to really 'go there' to make a great statement and to change things," Gaga told the magazine. "I feel like we all share an appetite for living a life of passion and creativity. It's like we all found our immortality through art and fashion… we share that deep spiritual place. These are people who have kept and protected me over the years, because they wanted me to survive. That's part of the message of this issue: we have to carry each other through the decades and take care of one another and honor each other's work."

She added: "I am saying thank you to all these people for everything they've given me... I want to make sure the world knows who they are… it's a guard of people… I call them my fashion guard!"

"She's part musician, part notorious style setter, and part opinionated editor with strong convictions," V Magazine's creative editor Stephen Gan said. "Over the past six years of knowing each other, Lady Gaga and I often talk about her editing an issue of V, after all, she had been on the cover four times. She is gathering together true talents and all those who have inspired her about art and fashion, her closest collaborators, for what I hope will be a surprising and groundbreaking Spring Preview issue."

The V99 Spring Preview Issue hits newsstands on January 2016.
