It took a while to grow on me, but I stuck with it and listened to every bonus track available. I have to say, I think the bonus tracks let her down somewhat and it's obvious why they were sidelined as bonuses. Tracks like Don't Leave Me, Thoughts, End Game, Soak It Up and Play are just middle of the road and tarnished the album as a whole. But the standard tracklisting is solid. Initially, I really disliked Parking Lot but now I think it's ok but Bucket List and Circles just don't do it for me. I maybe would have replaced those tracks with Hold Up or End Of The World. Strongest tracks are definitely the hip hop inflected ones like Big Hoops, High Life and Something, along with ethereal, beautiful-sounding ones like Waiting For The Night, Miracles and bonus track, Cry. I like these two routes that Nelly takes and wish she'd stick with them instead of going for the more off-the-wall, irritating tracks like Circles. Now, I know I might get flack for this, but I wish Nelly would go back to being sexy again. But not trashy sexy. Classy sexy. I disagree when people said she was slutty during the Loose era. She had classy sexiness down to a tee. She doesn't need to sing songs like Rihanna, but have subtle, smouldering sexiness in her tracks. She had it going on with Something. That kinda sexy - subtle, womanly, ladylike. It's a style she wears well. If she kept that up, maybe this record would have fared better in the charts. Just my take.
