Mine were impacted and sideways, all 4 had to be surgically removed. I lucked out big time though because I only needed to take 1 ibuprofen that night before I went to bed and didn't need any medication after. I remember I had it done on a Friday, and being convinced that they didn't actually do the surgery because my swelling was minimal, virtually no real pain and I couldn't see any bruising. So I called the Maxillofacialist office on Monday and I was reassured that the surgery was in fact done. I was super relived and incredibly lucky. My sister however, oh dear. Hers were pulled out by a dentist and she couldn't eat for 6 days. Her face was huge and she was all black and blue and in super pain. She wouldn't go to school because she could barely talk and didn't want nobody to see her. I'm not sure but I guess it's because mine was done by a Maxillofacialist and not a Dentist?
