heavymlover 340
So today Walt Disney Animation Studios released the second official trailer for their upcoming animated feature, Marvel's Big Hero 6. The film will be released in November 7, and it's biggest competitor is expected to be Dreamworks' Penguins of Madagascar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IdMPpKMdcc So what do you think? Will Frozen's massive success overshadow what seems to be a better film? Will it continue the series of hit animated features that Disney has been releasing since 2009? Sorry if AP. heavymlover 340
I did enjoy Frozen, but yeah... This one looks better based on the trailers. I really like the aesthetics in this movie.
retroglamx 5,087
I loved Frozen but this is a completely different genre and they shouldn't be compared. And personally, I am beyond excited to see Big Hero 6 on the big screen. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

COLONiCPRiNXESS 1
This looks cool! Is it set in Japan? I've always wanted to Disney to do a Japan-incorporated movie. And yes, I believe this will be a success like Frozen (maybe not on such a large scale but similar) and is part of The 2nd Disney Renaissance along with Frozen. It's a fictional city that combines Tokyo with San Francisco, but yeah, it's probably the first Disney film to use Japanese culture so heavily. And I agree that Disney is going through a second Renaissance right now. Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Wreck-it-Ralph and Frozen are all great films. Big Hero 6 seems like a great addition to their catalogue :)
Spock 20,290
Not sure it's going to surpass Frozen but it looks good! I'm really happy that Disney got their **** together! John Lasseter moving there was the best thing that happened to them who will love me when the night is over

John Lasseter moving there was the best thing that happened to them I agree. Their 2000-2008 era was one of the darkest in Disney's history. I do like some of the movies they produced in that time-frame, but Home on the Range was probably the lowest point they've reached since The Black Caldroun. Everything they've released since Bolt has been pretty good imo.

Everything they've released since Bolt has been pretty good imo. But I like The Black Cauldron I agree too! I really like a bunch that were released in that period (Atlantis, Treasure Planet,...) but they're not as good as the Renaissance or the Lasseter era ones. I just hope they won't start snatching Pixar's weave who will love me when the night is over
