Seashell Bikini 3 Posted August 10, 2014 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I've followed and watched videos from each concert since the start of the tour and while I think it's a great show, I didn't think it lived up to all the expectations after the great Monster Ball and Born This Way Ball tours. Of course, she has always had some off-nights but that was not really the problem with this tour. While it has her best lightning set ever and a great amount of confetti, I think her performances didn't have that 'wow' effect, even vocal-wise. It seemed to me like her whole energy went into the Venus and MANiCURE performances where she looks the happiest. I really hoped she would change some things until it's time for the DVD-shooting... Â ... and she did. The last videos I watched on YouTube from the Seattle and Vancouver shows (even though very low-quality) showed a grand progress. She's finally singing her heart out. And not only in Venus and MANiCURE. Just listen to all the vocal improvisations and the way she's changing the melodies so many of the songs. She's giving great performances all night long. I really hope this progress continues in the future when she goes to Asia (because she has such wild fans there and they deserve the best of her), Australia and Europe. Â Few things that can also be improved (for the sake of the DVD): - bring back Mary Jane Holland (come on, you really imagine an artRAVE DVD without this song?); - make Aura and Sexxx Dreams full again; - make Swine full (it's one of the highlights of the show and definitely the most adrenaline-like moment in the show and it deserves to be a bit longer); - never again cut Dope out of the setlist (this song always makes her voice shine and that's what we need to hear). I don't care about dope, we can have BTW to show her voice. So if she wants to keep it, great!
