It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

"There's a buzz all over the place," said Fidel Figueroa, General Manager of the San Simeon Lodge and the San Simeon Beach Bar and Grill. The San Simeon Lodge is just one of a handful of hotels housing some of Lady Gaga's staff and crew. Nearly 40 of the rooms at the San Simeon Lodge are being rented by Gaga's entourage. Figueroa says January and February are typically slow months, but having Gaga in town is a game changer. "This helps us gets through winter. By having this, it helps us get through winter to get through summer season so we can be ok. Now we know with this little boost from Lady Gaga, it will help our business big time," says Figueroa. With the Gaga crew in town and Valentine's Day weekend around the corner, it means rooms in San Simeon are harder to get, and more expensive. "Out of 62 rooms, we usually have 6-10 rooms (occupied). Right now, it changes to around 80% occupancy. It is a big difference," said Figueroa. He expects it to be full this weekend, in the hotel and in the restaurant. "Right now dinners have been busy. Usually we have one waiter working. Now we have four waiters working now every night. That will help this whole month for employees, employers, everybody. Having Lady Gaga here changed the whole month," said Figueroa. It created anything but a bad romance for Valentine's Day in San Simeon. "We were all trying to find out when she will be at Hearst Castle. I think they are keeping it on the hush hush exactly which day she will be there. But we are excited and hope we can spot her," said Peterson. It's not just Gaga and the holidays, but the beautiful weather locally and the lack of snowfall in the mountains, that has brought more tourists to the Central Coast. Hearst Castle will still be open to visitors this week, so you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the pop star. Tour tickets are still available."

Saving Local Business just by being present , when will your faves :legend:

Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen
